My Favorite Things

If I could take all of my favorite things from every place we have ever lived during our Navy adventure, our life might look something like this.

I would wake up in the morning to the smell of fresh Plumeria blossoms wafting with the Hawaiian trade winds through our beautiful two-story, 5 bedroom home, on a cul-de-sac filled with friends(Ga). We would rise and travel a short distance to downtown Portsmouth, Va where we would enjoy a delectible breakfast at Brutti's of Mimosas and omelets. Of course the kids would probably get french toast with fresh squeezed OJ. We would then head home to pack our beach bag and cruise over to watch the surfers at Waimea Bay and have some fun in the sun at Sunset Beach, following up with a lunch of spinach quesadillas at Cholos, or Kahlua pig tacos at Killer Tacos, both located in the surfer town of Haleiwa. After lunch we would roller blade the residential streets of Orlando picking the juiciest oranges on the planet for an afternoon snack. After swapping our roller blades for mountain bikes we would trek through the Adirondacks of upstate New York enjoying the vibrant fall foliage. For dinner we would head over to 123 Thai Food in Oak Harbor Washington for our favorite Thai meal. Then I'd go home and plan our upcoming vacation to the San Juan Islands, a drive around the Cascade Loop, and South British Columbia for some fun snow frolicking!

Meanwhile, Mermaid would be advancing through the levels with NWAC (Northwest Aquatic Club) swim team. Shark Boy would continue to perfect his soccer skills with the Camden Soccer Club and Kings Bay Youth Sports, while honing his technical skills at his Robotics Club meetings. Turtle would be learning and cheering with her friends on the Bull Dawgs Cheer team. They would all grow up with all of their friends attending the Camden County Schools. In the summertime they would take part in Moovin and Groovin's kids summer camps on Whidbey Island, Wa. and swim in our lovely in-ground pool (VA), while Triton and I relax in our luxurious hot tub. Our extended families would live close enough to holiday together fairly easily. And we would live happily ever after!

Can't wait to discover some new faves during our next adventure!!
